This will be a time for regents to come together and put their amazing talent and energy into the organization we love.\n\nA formal agenda will be provided on the day of the event\, but the main topics for discussion will be:\n\n\nRegent Fundraising\nTreasurer’s Report\nRegalia & Medallions for new incoming Reign\nRings for the Emperor and Prince ring ceremony\nAnniversary Regalia\n\nAnniversary Pins\nAnniversary Ladders\n10-year Empress Crown\n\n\nRegent Awards (please take the time to review these awards and the qualifications for each\, and have a few individuals in mind to support a constructive conversation and vote for each).\n\nThe John Renn\, Entertainer of the Year Award\n\nThe King Father may present this award\, which is voted upon by the Council of Regents\, to the entertainer(s) who best demonstrated their talent(s) to benefit the Southern Colorado community.\n\n\nThe Regent’s Award\n\nThis is a lifetime award voted upon and given by the Council of Regents to a fellow Regent who has gone above and beyond the duties of a Regent.\n\n\nThe Jim Brazell Owl & Stag Lifetime Achievement Award\n\nThis lifetime award will be presented at Coronation by the Council of Regents to honor a Monarch or Lifetime Titleholder who has committed to helping the organization strive for excellence. Due to the nature of the award\, repeat winners would not be encouraged.\n\n\nThe Ed Sells Heart & Soul Award (Sable Gordon)\n\nThis award was created by and will be paid for and presented by Queen Mother Sable Gordon annually to the person or organization that embodies the qualities in the award’s title. Queen Mother Sable Gordon agrees to purchase and present this award for as long as she is able and asks that the board approve and continue the award to be presented by the reigning Queen Mother after this point.\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you have agenda items for the Council of Regents to discuss\, please send them to me (Shelby Givin’ Moorehead) or Jason Hicks (Ramiyah De’vereaux)\, so that we may add them to the agenda and get any insight from our current Co-council of Regents.\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you all there for a productive and constructive meeting. DESCRIPTION:Greetings UCPPE Members!\n\nHappy almost Easter! Things are warming up!!!!\n\nReminder of the Special General membership meeting that will be held April 27th at 3:00pm at The Retro Lounge (formally The Q) in the Satellite Hotel.\n\nAgenda is attached.\n\nSome have mixed feelings about hosting events and meetings at what seems to be the same place all the time. I want to clarify some things on that. We\, as in the BOAs and the Reign has and continue to have events at various venues. There are multiple reasons why this has not been successful: UCPPE members speaking ill on the organization to the management or owner\, leading them to not want to continue doing business with us; UCPPE members conducting in poor behavior in these spaces; lack of participation in turn giving the venue a profit. If we work together we can expand. We have policies in place to deal with certain individuals\, please do not blame the entire organization causing venues to not want to do business with us\, then turn around and complain that everything is at the same place…………………….……………. I mean……………………..……….. if you have an issue\, there are protocols in place\, please try that first.\n\nWe as the oldest and longest ran LGBTQIA+ non-profit organization should seek out a “Gay owned” venue as a home bar\, while branching out to others throughout southern Colorado to host events and support our small owned businesses. Home bar\, meaning\, where we primarily hold meetings and some shows. Other shows and events should be held throughout our region. Some venues expect a bar minimum\, some expect a reservation fee. We\, as a non-profit with no income need to book at venues that are free of charge\, unless we have more participation to pay these expenses\, free spaces are hard to come by. We had a great idea for Bar K\, but we are not welcome there because of false accusations on the entire organization was made. Hince\, we’re no longer there. We cannot seem to behave in a CHURCH!!!!!!!!! So you tell me where to go…..\n\nTheir Majesties will be sending out upcoming events soon. Black and White Ball will be a $1500 fee to use the space.\n\nIf anyone has ideas for a venue with low cost to no cost for events\, by all means\, reach out.\n\nWe have a new Corresponding Secretary\, and a new Princess Royal. We still have Recording Secretary\, Membership Chair\, Public Relations and Games Manager vacant.\n\nPridefest is June 14 and 15 for Colorado Springs. We have a booth and a space in the parade this year! Anyone interested in being apart of this fun time\, get with their Majesties. Our June 10th BOA meeting would be a good meeting to attend as we will extensively go into Pridefest.\n\nFood for thought or Rhetorical question: What do you want out of this organization\, and how do you propose we get there?\n\nWe are geared up and ready for a fun reign leading to a fabulous and fun 50th Coronation!!
