Come out and help raise funds for the Parasol Patrol as we head into an ever expanding list of events for Pride Season!
Parasol Patrol is a nonprofit dedicated to shielding children and young people from hostile protesters at 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC events. Using umbrellas to create a visual barrier, we guide families past harmful messages from groups like Proud Boys, Patriot Front Blood Tribe, GAG and Westboro Baptist Church. For the youngest, we provide noise-canceling ear protection to block the hateful slurs often yelled through bullhorns. Our mission is to ensure that children can walk through their communities with dignity, protected from the hate that seeks to harm them.
On Friday, 5/09/2025, please join us at the Pearl in Denver for “Seeds of Resistance” A Fundraiser Drag Variety Show benefitting The Parasol Patrol. There will be a Silent Auction along with plenty of umbrellas for donations. We will also have Clay Necklace brick necklaces and Earings available at our info booth.
It’s crucial for Parasol Patrol volunteers to remember that we are not a counter-protest group. We don’t engage with protesters. While we may be present because of their actions, we are there for the kids, and that is where we focus our energy.
