Call to Order by President Mesha at 6:13 pm
President’s Report: No Report
Vice-President’s Report: No Report
Treasury Report: Sean presented a written report, with the balance as of 12-24-2023 at $18,093.28. Motion was made by Autumn and seconded by Ed to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. All were in favor of the motion with one abstention.
Recording Secretary Report: Current Reign page updated, still needing a few pics of line 48 members. Trips planned to Houston 1-11 to 1-15 and Minneapolis 2-1 to 2-5.
Public Relations Chair Report: Joseph excused for work.
Membership Chair Report: Autumn has updated the membership list. No new members have joined this month. Autumn and Joseph are going to the Princess Pageant in Albuquerque on Saturday, Jan 13th.
State of the Reign Report: Michael reported 3 shows this month:
Rubber Ducky show 01-13-2024 at the Downtown Bar in Pueblo, show 9 pm
Disney Show 01-18-2024 at Vultures in Colorado Springs, show 7 pm
Pasta Dinner & Drag Show $10 at the VFW post in Fountain, Colorado, 5-7 pm
Winter Cotillion will be February 10, 2024 at the Center for Spiritual Living, pot luck and byob, prices for admission to be discussed later in this meeting.
Corresponding Secretary Report: Justin has set up a new email address for court business. The Newsletter has gone out.
Regents Co-Counsel Report: Hysteria requested that certain line members for reign 48 be removed. Michael and Alexis refused this and Hysteria presented her resignation letter to the board. Discussion and comments were then made by Mesha, Hysteria, Michael, Alexis and Autumn. Motion to accept the resignation letter by Hysteria was made by Autumn and seconded by Ed. All were in favor of the motion with 3 abstentions.
Old Business: Discussion was made of Winter Cotillion plans. Michael proposed that the admission for members be $10 and $15 for non-members. A pot luck is planned and byob will be the rule for drinks. Plans to staff the regents co-counsel due to the resignation of Hysteria included an empress committee and Ramiyah Devereaux was mentioned as well. Steven will discuss the charities to be donated to this year and Sean will see that the checks get cut. The location of the general membership meeting on 2-18-2024 was discussed and the Pride Resiliency Center was mentioned as a possible venue.
New Business: Black and White Ball was discussed, the event to be held 05-18-2024 at the Center for Spiritual Living. The annual picnic was discussed, with a fundraiser idea to cover the cost of the food and moving it to June date. The Memorial Park was discussed as a venue for the picnic. Alexis requested a full page ad in the Seattle Coronation program for $150. Autumn made the motion to accept the request and Steven seconded the motion. All were in favor with one abstention. Mesha reminded the monarchs to start planning the candidate dates and locations early. PR Ball is scheduled for 08-24-2024. The Regent Meeting date was discussed, with the open possibility of having a meeting shortly after the general membership meeting as a second meeting to the traditional August meeting time. Preparations were made to get Leandra’s anniversary crown to her.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned by President Mesha at 10:04. The next meeting was later set in the group chat to be immediately following the general membership meeting, location to be determined, on 02-18-2024.
