Greetings UCCPE members!

If you are not aware, this 50th Coronation will be the last for our current contract with The Antler’s Hotel. This means I will either sign a new 3 year contract or we will need to find a new host hotel. I personally do not mind continuing with Antler’s Hotel. I have a good rapport with the staff, and although we have contracts we have always been able to negotiate costs. Therefore, I will not be seeking other venues for hosting coronation. However, anyone willing to go on a search and find a location I am willing to take a look and if majority of board members agree I will sign that contract. This has to be decided before mid December, otherwise I plan to sign with Antler’s again.

Things to consider when searching for a host hotel:

Location (walking distance from eateries, shops and bars. Safe area)

Cleanliness of hotel, appearance of guest rooms

Friendly and welcoming staff

Size and cost of hospitality suite or room

Honor tax exemption for non profits

Room rate for UCPPE to our visiting guests

Size of ball room – how strict are they on our time in the ball room. Extra fee when you go over the agreed time. Are they flexible?

Staging, lights, sound equip, etc – costs vs what’s included

Menu choice for dinner and brunch

Bar cost per bar and bartender

Space or room for dressing area, with no extra charge

Tell me date time and location and I will be there to walk through with you and bring as many board members that can attend and make a decision the following board meeting. Again, this needs to happen before mid December.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
