Call to order: 6:10pm; Mesha, President, presided the meeting.
President Report – Mesha has been added to the checking account and has a debit card for expenses now.
Vice President Report – No significant activities to report.
Recording Secretary Report – Minutes to be generated electronically and approved via email
Treasurer Report – Reported by Mesha, balance is $14,407.91 for all accounts, approval motion by Sean, seconded by Steven and all approved.
Public Relations – Sean discussed plans for creating a summer newsletter with events laid out with a stamp card format. Also discussed pridefest which is this weekend and plans for a booth and presence were finalized. Manitou Springs pride was discussed 6/17/2023 and Pueblo plans on August 20th. Sean outlined various venues we have approached for shows around town.
Membership Chair – Autumn reported 31 paid memberships as of the end of the month and was reconciling paid memberships at black and white ball.
State of the Reign Report – Hysteria outlined a calendar of events for the rest of the summer, with events at the new LauraBelle’s bar on 19th Street. It was stressed to get the anniversary monarchs involved.
State of the Regent Report – Matt is working to revise the sponsorship packet and will have that available shortly. Leandra has reached out to be involved with our activities.
Old Business – Vacancies on the board of advisors was discussed, with treasurer being at the top of the list. Sean Gooden volunteered to be Treasurer and a discussion ensued. The matter was tabled until the next meeting when the formalities will be worked out. The link to the hotel on our website was discussed and advice is to order rooms manually by calling reservations. The Annual Picnic on July 23rd was discussed, with a membership meeting to be held at 11 am at Memorial Park, with picnic at 12 pm. The membership meeting is to discuss what lifetime titles are to be bestowed on the 5 Club Q victims.
New Business – Discussion of the various venues that are available to us, the Luxe Daquiri Bar and LauraBelle’s were discussed. Pridefest help with the booth was discussed. Mesha presented a Guide for Monarchs, good practices she is working on to be given to Monarchs at the start of the year.
Community Comments – Stephanie Paul commented that our P.O. Box could be cheaper and Mesha will look into this. Comments were also made by Queen Mother Sable, Hysteria, Autumn, Mesha, Jesse, King Father Michael.
With no further discussion, next meeting is set for July 3, 2023 at Colorado Military Academy at 6:00pm.
